A chord tie connection between precast concrete panels utilizes embedded structural steel shapes and low hydrogen welding. A blockout is formed with styrofoam and patched after welding is completed. Welded plate lengths and sizes are determined per schedule, with double plates provided where required by panel elevations. Welded wire fabric of size 4x4-W2.1xW2.1 with epoxy grout is applied after welding above the roof level. If the parapet height is less than dimension L, a chord tie must be provided below the ledger.
