A 3/8-inch thick gusset plate connects to a column sized per schedule with a 1/4-inch fillet weld top and bottom. The brace member per elevation attaches to the gusset plate using two bolts spaced at 3 inches on center. A work point (WP) is established for alignment, maintaining a 1 1/2-inch maximum clearance from the column face and a 1-inch minimum typical clearance.
