A structural steel connection featuring ASTM F1554 Grade 105 anchor rods at each female end anchor. The assembly includes 2-inch by 9-inch Grade 50 plates and 2-inch by 5.5-inch Grade 50 plates welded to the structural steel shapes. Fillet welds are specified at 9/16-inch typical at the web and 3/8-inch at the flanges, incorporating backing plates typical at flanges with CVN requirements. An 11-inch diameter core hole is provided in the existing slab with welded oversize plate washers per sheet 19/S7.03.
