An HSS column connects to a supporting transfer beam using a base plate assembly with stiffener plates near side and far side. Four seven-eighth-inch diameter bolts fasten the connection where intersecting beam connections occur. Stiffener plate thickness ts is sized per schedule with a one-quarter-inch fillet weld. Additional plate-to-beam connections are detailed in end view and elevation with specified dimensions.
