A davit socket pedestal is mounted atop a structural steel beam and corner column assembly. The supporting beam is sized per plan and connects to the column with an L8x4x1/2 angle section positioned with long legs vertical. A three-eighths inch fillet weld secures the davit socket pedestal baseplate to the supporting structural members. The column size is determined per plan layout.
