This assembly provides a slip connection between a metal deck and a vertical cold-formed steel stud wall, identified as 800S200-68 spaced at 16 inches on center. A 3/16-inch minimum closure plate is fastened to the metal deck using four #12-24 screws. This closure plate is then secured to the wall stud via an SCS62-5/97 clip, which is attached to the stud using three #14 shoulder screws installed in pattern S1. The connection allows for a maximum gap of 1/16 inch between the closure plate and the stud wall to accommodate differential movement.
