A vertical wood post connects to a concrete slab using a Simpson ABU 46 post base. The post base secures to the wood post with through-bolts and fastens to the concrete slab with a 5/8-inch diameter Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ anchor embedded four inches into the concrete. The concrete slab provides the structural support for the post assembly.
