The steel stair stringer connects to the supporting beam at the landing using a continuous complete joint penetration weld with a 3/16 inch typical angle-to-beam connection. The stair treads and risers consist of 10-gauge metal pans filled with 2-inch lightweight concrete reinforced with 4x4 W1.4xW1.4 welded wire fabric. The tread pans are supported by typical 1 1/4 by 1 1/4 by 1/4 inch angles, 9 inches long, welded to the stringer with a 1/8 inch fillet weld. A landing landing slab of 2-inch lightweight concrete with 4x4 W1.4xW1.4 welded wire fabric is placed over a 10-gauge minimum steel plate. Railing posts are anchored according to architectural drawings.
