Precast concrete wall panels are secured together using embedded steel plates and structural steel angles with headed shear studs. An L5x3x3/8 by zero-foot-ten inch long angle with two number five dowels is anchored at the horizontal leg and welded with a full penetration weld and two half-inch diameter welded studs at zero-foot-four-and-a-half-inches. A half-inch by six-inch by zero-foot-eight-inch plate is welded to the embed with a quarter-inch fillet weld on three sides. A three-eighths by ten-inch by ten-inch plate with four three-quarter-inch diameter welded studs ties into the concrete. Wire mesh is tack-welded to the steel and voids are filled with non-shrink grout after welding.
