This assembly features a hollow structural section column supported by a base plate anchored to a concrete foundation. A gusset plate is slotted through the column to provide a connection point for a buckling restrained brace, which is provided by others. The gusset plate welds are to be performed according to the brace manufacturer's specifications. The base plate is secured with anchor bolts and nuts, with the gusset plate integrated into the base assembly to transfer lateral loads from the brace into the foundation.
