A new proposed air conditioning unit sits on an equipment curb by others, bearing on a level wood platform. The platform uses 2x6 number one framing members supported in Simpson U hangers and is sheathed with three-quarter-inch CDX plywood secured by ten-penny screw shank nails spaced at four inches on center at edges and twelve inches on center at intermediate supports. Three three-eighths-inch diameter by five-inch lag screws fasten each side of the curb to the wood framing below. A cant strip transitions the roof sheathing up to the curb edge.
