A steel beam frames into a moment frame beam or braced frame beam with a full-depth web stiffener plate on each side. The steel beam connects to the supporting member web using a vertical plate fastened with three bolts. Full-depth web stiffeners are provided on each side per general structural notes to reinforce the column or supporting beam web against high local shear and concentrated loads.
