A concrete slab on metal deck bears on a reinforced concrete masonry unit wall with a supporting structural steel angle specified per plan. The slab incorporates continuous number eight chord reinforcement with a Class B lap splice required at all splices and corners, along with supplementary reinforcing sized per plan. The top of the masonry wall is roughened to a one-quarter inch amplitude surface profile. Formwork is provided by the contractor as required, and deck orientation varies per plan.
