The steel stair stringer consists of trimmed C18 channel members with treads leading up or down per plans, featuring complete joint penetration welds at channel-to-channel junctions. The assembly connects adjacent to a floor or roof slab with a topping slab over metal deck. A one-inch gap separates the stair stringer from the slab edge.
