A cold-formed steel hollow structural section beam frames into a structural steel beam per plan using a 1/4-inch by 4-inch by 0'-6" plate on each side. Two 3/4-inch diameter thru bolts are installed in horizontal short slotted holes to accommodate movement. Fillet welds of 3/16-inch size connect the assembly at the steel framing. A minimum 1-inch clearance is maintained per elevation manufacturer requirements.
