A core and casing assembly consists of a central steel core plate encased within a tubular or pipe casing with grout fill and a proprietary interface material. The assembly features bolted connection lugs with standard holes at both ends, welded to the steel core plate via gusset plates. A one-eighth inch seal weld is specified at the casing ends. The overall configuration is symmetrical about the center line.
