A hollow structural section post is anchored to a concrete curb using a half-inch by six-inch by one-foot eight-inch base plate secured with four three-eighths-inch diameter mechanical anchors with two and one-half inches of embedment. Framing studs are attached to both sides of the HSS post at twelve inches on center using powder-actuated fasteners, maintaining a maximum six-inch distance from the stud ends. An ordinary track is installed per the stud wall schedule.
