A steel beam connects to the flange of a supporting column using a bolted shear plate connection. Three-quarter inch bolts secure the web through a connection plate with three-inch on-center typical spacing. Edge distances measure one and one-half inches vertically and three-quarters of an inch horizontally with a two-inch dimension. Additional installation requirements are referenced per general notes on the drawing.
