A chevron bracing connection features diagonal braces intersecting a steel beam via a gusset plate. The working point is located at one-half the actual beam depth with a gusset stiffener applied to both sides of the plate. Bolted connections secure the diagonal members to the gusset, and fillet welds are specified per the connection schedule and note requirements. Stiffeners are positioned at the z-region where required along the beam web.
