A structural steel beam frames into the web of a supporting girder with a vertical depression determined per plan. The connection utilizes a shear plate welded to the girder web on three sides per schedule and bolted to the supported beam web. AISC standard horizontal short-slotted holes are provided in the connection plate. The number of bolts and shear plate dimensions are sized per schedule based on engineering requirements.
