A wide flange column connects to channel braces using a three-eighths by nine inch bent plate gusset typically on each side. The brace members are C12x25 channels fastened with two seven-eighths inch diameter high strength bolts at a five inch vertical gauge typically on each side. A quarter-inch fillet weld is applied on three sides with a three-inch dimension at the connection. The clear distance between members ranges from ten inches minimum to two feet zero inches maximum.
