This concrete housekeeping pad bears directly on a concrete-filled composite metal deck slab. The pad features number three reinforcing bars spaced at twelve inches each way with one-inch clear cover. Number four perimeter dowels are spaced at sixteen inches on center, with bottom horizontal legs turned parallel to the deck flute. As an optional alternative, drilled and epoxied dowels with four-inch embedment into the deck low flute may be used in lieu of standard dowels. Slab reinforcing and deck direction are sized per structural and mechanical plans.
