A bolted lug CoreBrace connection occurs at a chevron brace framing into a steel beam with a gusset plate. The gusset plate features a thickness tg and a one-half inch plate on both the near side and far side, with a work point located at one-half the nominal depth of the beam. Diagonal braces connect to the gusset plate through multi-bolt lug connections. Fillet welds of five-sixteenths inch typical size secure the gusset plate assembly on the near side and far side. A reference note directs the builder to detail one for additional information.
