A buckling-restrained brace connects to a structural steel column and framing beam through a slotted gusset plate designed by the manufacturer. Stiffener plates are placed on the near side and far side of the beam web and column as required. Complete joint penetration welds are provided typically at the beam flanges. A specific work point establishes the intersection of the framing centerlines.
