A wide flange column is anchored to a concrete pedestal, which is integrated with a slab on grade and supported by a grade beam foundation. The pedestal is reinforced with number four ties spaced at ten inches on center. The grade beam features eight number six reinforcing bars with standard hooks at the bottom. The assembly transitions from the column base plate to the pedestal, with the grade beam depth and reinforcement specified per plan and detail 12/S504.
