A concrete foundation wall contains a four-inch diameter sleeve surrounded by specific structural reinforcement. Two number four top and bottom bars span the opening horizontally, while number four diagonal bars are placed on each side as shown. Two number four ties are provided on each side to complete the reinforcement cage around the penetration. A general note directs that larger penetrations require contacting the project engineer.
