A continuous concrete footing supports a concrete wall of width sized per the foundation plan. The footing contains two number four longitudinal reinforcing bars and incorporates a keyway matching the wall construction joint. Number four dowels are placed at alternating wall vertical reinforcing locations with a development length of Ld and alternate hooks into the footing. The top of footing serves as the reference elevation.
