Two wide-flange beams frame into the flanges of a wide-flange column at the top of the column. Each beam connects via a welded shear plate with thickness "T" per schedule and a typical three-inch vertical bolt spacing. The bolted connection utilizes quantity "Q" high-strength bolts per bolt column, arranged with two columns of bolts on one side and one column of bolts on the other side. A cap plate is welded to the top of the column with weld sizes specified per the schedule. Wide-flange beam and connection details where they occur not shown are omitted for clarity.
