A concrete slab over steel deck bears against a steel column with a braced edge condition utilizing L3x3x1/4 outriggers and an L2x2x1/4 kicker angle welded with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. An L4x4x1/4 angle matching the column width plus one inch with a 4"x1/4"x4" weld plate anchors the assembly to the column, or directly to the column for steel tube sections. A steel beam connects to the column flange where required by the framing plan.
