A new concrete tie beam supports a six-foot wide slab on grade pour strip between existing slabs on grade. The tie beam measures two feet square in cross-section and is reinforced with four continuous number six bars at the top and bottom, enclosed by number three ties spaced at twelve inches on center with three inches of clear cover. The pour strip is reinforced with number four bars at eighteen inches on center with alternating hooks. New slab connections to the existing slabs on grade are detailed on each side.
