A cold-formed steel outrigger is notched with a one-quarter inch clearance around the collector plate. The collector plate is fastened to the framing using three-quarter inch diameter thru-bolts at six inches on center staggered. A continuous five-sixteenth by six by four-inch bent plate provides shear transfer and is reinforced at each end with L2x2 angles similar to the brace frame beam. A continuous L3x3x5/16 angle connects the assembly with three-quarter inch diameter machine erection bolts at forty-eight inches on center. The cold-formed steel stud maintains a one-half inch clearance from the connection components.
