A four-inch diameter extra-strong pipe post extends two feet above the top of steel elevation to serve as a roof tie-off anchor. The pipe is topped with a half-inch thick cap plate secured with a quarter-inch fillet weld. A forged mounting ring lashing ring with a 16,000-pound capacity and a 6,000-pound work load limit is welded to the cap plate using a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld. The assembly passes through the roof panel and is welded to the supporting steel beam sized per plan with a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld.
