Elevator spreader beam connections to both structural steel and concrete wall supports. The steel connection features a hollow structural section member framing into a wide flange beam flange via a three-eighths-inch plate, shim plate as required, four seven-eighths-inch diameter A325 snug-tight bolts, and a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld. The concrete connection secures a hollow structural section to a concrete wall using a three-eighths-inch plate, shims as required, a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld, and four half-inch diameter anchors with two-and-a-quarter-inch embedment and six-inch minimum edge distance.
