Cold-formed steel stud framing connects to a fifty-four mil slip track designed to accommodate vertical deflection. A three-quarter-inch gap is maintained between the framing members. Number ten waferhead screws are centered in the slotted web and fastened through each flange per manufacturer specifications. The assembly allows independent vertical movement of the structural slab above without transferring loads to the non-load-bearing partitions.
