A cantilevered steel beam frames into a structural steel column per plan, supported by a seven-eighths-inch thick plate matching the beam width and extending six inches beyond the column width. The connection is secured with four three-quarter-inch diameter A325 bolts at a four-inch gauge. A three-eighths-inch fitted stiffener plate is welded to each side of the beam web with a one-quarter-inch fillet weld on three sides. The bearing plate is welded to the column flange with a five-sixteenths-inch fillet weld.
