A new concrete slab on metal deck bears on an existing concrete girder adjacent to an existing single tee and topping slab. A continuous L4x4x1/4 angle supports the metal deck edge, secured to the existing concrete with three-eighths-inch diameter adhesive anchors at twenty-four inches on center with four and one-half inches of embedment. Number 4 by four-foot-zero-inch dowels at sixteen inches on center with four inches of epoxy embedment tie the new slab into the existing structure.
