A continuous C8x11.5 vertical channel acts as a column, spaced at forty-eight inches on center maximum and two feet from the column centerline, with infill eight-inch metal studs. An outrigger constructed from a C8 channel connects via continuous angles and connections per detail fourteen on sheet S05-01, supporting a metal panel enclosure per architectural drawings. A three-eighths-inch full-depth stiffener plate is welded to the supporting steel beam with a quarter-inch fillet weld. A bottom flange brace connects per detail nine on sheet S05-02 where shown on plan, complemented by a plate measuring three-eighths by five inches as required.
