The procedure for drilling out and repairing concrete around an existing anchor bolt embedded in a concrete slab involves drilling an oversized hole around the existing anchor using a steel drill bit and a concrete drill or core bit. Spalled edges are eliminated by selecting an appropriate drill bit size and patching the surrounding void with rapid refloor repair material finished flush with the existing top of slab. The repair surface must be kept clean, free of laitance, and dried immediately prior to installing the patching material.
