A wood nailer blocking assembly is supported by a steel truss girder. A 4x6 wood blocking is positioned between truss purlins and secured using quarter-inch thick steel plates measuring 4 inches by 7 inches on each side. These plates are located 2 feet from each side of the truss purlins and fastened with two three-quarter-inch diameter through bolts at a 4-inch gauge. Two rows of nailing are specified at blocking spacing, with alternating configurations of four lines for staggered nailing and six lines where three lines of nailing are required. A quarter-inch fillet weld secures the assembly.
