A hollow structural section member connects to a half-inch thick gusset plate at a designated work point along the structural grid. The connection is secured with two one-inch diameter A490-PT-STD bolts through a half-inch by eight-inch by zero-foot eight-inch plate. Three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds connect the gusset plate assembly to the truss per plan and elevation requirements.
