A concrete slab on metal deck at a stair landing bears directly onto the top flange of a wide-flange beam sized per plan. The wide-flange beam connects to an HSS broken back stair stringer, which is sized per plan and framed with a complete joint penetration weld at the joint. Additional framing and connection information is referenced to detail 13 on sheet S221.
