This vertical section shows the door head interface with an exterior masonry wall and steel framing. A box stud header provides structural support above the opening, integrated with a steel plate and exterior steel frame. Sheet metal flashing is detailed with a minimum four-inch lap to provide weather resistance and drainage above the door frame.
