A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects via a bolted lug to gusset plates welded to a wide-flange steel column and wide-flange beams. The gusset and attachment are designed by CoreBrace with stiffener plates provided near side and far side as required. A concrete slab over metal deck frames into the column per plan, alongside a shear connection between the beam and column. The work point is established at the intersection of the framing centerlines.
