A 362S162-54 cold-formed steel stud piece is welded to the web of a wide flange beam sized per structural drawings. Each flange of the stud piece connects to the beam web with an eighth-inch fillet weld top and bottom. A strongback sized per schedule 10/SF 4.41 connects to the stud piece using four number ten screws typically. The strongback runs perpendicular to frame the wall assembly against the structural steel member.
