A concrete slab edge bears on a wide-flange steel beam. An embed angle measuring L3x3x1/4 with 3/4-inch diameter by 6-inch studs spaced at 12 inches on center is cast into the slab edge, or provided per equipment manufacturer specifications. Continuous number 4 reinforcing bars run through the edge, with additional reinforcement placed per structural plans. The concrete deck spans in either direction, and the slab edge may continue downward as indicated on the drawings.
