Metal deck bears on a structural steel beam adjacent to a seismic gap specified per architectural drawings. The metal deck is welded to the support per detail requirements. A designated seismic gap separates the deck assembly from the adjacent vertical concrete or masonry element. Common details and callouts are referenced on sheet S1.23.
