A buckling restrained brace frames into a wide-flange column and wide-flange beam assembly. A continuous gusset plate ties the brace to the beam and column, reinforced with stiffener plates as required inside the column profile. Top and bottom plates are provided on each side of the beam, working in conjunction with collector connections detailed per schedule. Welds and bolted connections tie the gusset plate and brace elements into the lateral force-resisting frame.
