Cold-formed steel joists bear directly on a top track and top plate matching the size and gauge of the underlying metal wall stud per schedule. A continuous rim track matches the size and gauge of the cold-formed steel joist and ties into the top plate. Track blocking matches the size and gauge of the joist and includes an L50 clip at each end with the cope flange extending the web as required, secured with three number 10 sheet metal screws to each block at 48 inches on center. Additional number 10 sheet metal screws fasten each flange at each end. Sheathing is applied with panel edge fastening per plan, and panel edge fastening continues per plan to the rim joist.
