A structural pipe brace connects to a concrete masonry unit wall using a half-inch by twelve-inch by one-foot-zero-inch steel plate. The plate secures to the masonry with four three-quarter-inch-diameter anchor bolts featuring six-inch embedment. The pipe member connects to the plate with five-sixteenths-inch fillet welds typical at the joint, positioned one and one-half inches typical from the centerline of the beam and plate.
