Two options connect back-to-back cold-formed steel jamb studs. Screw Option A utilizes a cap jamb track for window or door attachment, extending ten inches above the header and eight inches below the sill connections, fastened with number ten screws at sixteen inches on center. The studs attach to each other using two number ten screws at sixteen inches on center. Screw Option B uses a six-inch section of eighteen-gauge minimum runner track to stitch the jamb members together, secured with eight number ten screws as shown. Additionally, a twenty-two gauge by two-inch wide plate fastens to the face of each stud with screws in a pattern spaced at twenty-four inches on center maximum.
